Summer Camp 2021 COVID Policies

FAME Center will follow these safety procedures and guidelines in accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health and CDC, and in the best interest of our staff and students:

  • Campers will be put into a week-long pod of no more than 10 campers, and will participate in all activities and meal times only with the Campers and staff in their pods

  • Staff and Campers will be required to wear masks at all times, with the exception of meal and snack times. During these times, staff and campers will be socially distance (6 feet apart) and permitted to remove masks while eating and drinking

  • Staff and Campers are required to provide their own masks to ensure proper fit and increase comfort in wearing

  • Upon arrival each day Staff and Campers will have their temperature taken by a touch-free thermometer.

  • All Staff and Campers must use hand sanitizer or wash hands immediately upon arrival, and will use hand sanitizer at regular intervals throughout the day. (If your student has allergies or sensitivities to hand sanitizers, please provide your own)

  • Shared surfaces will be sanitized at regular intervals throughout the day.

  • Staff and Campers who have been knowingly exposed to someone with Covid-19 should not return to camp until they have met the CDC's criteria to discontinue home isolation.

  • Staff and Campers who have tested positive or are showing symptoms of Covid-19 should not return to camp until they have met the CDC's criteria to discontinue home isolation.

  • All campers will be assigned to a pod for the week of no greater than 10 campers.

  • Campers will be provided with separate activity materials (art supplies, etc), labeled with their name, to use for the duration of camp.

  • Staff and Campers are required to bring their own water bottle which can be refilled at the provided water stations

  • No refunds will be issued for days missed due to sickness or exposure to Covid-19.

Age Requirements 

All camps are open to rising 2nd-5th graders




FAME Center does not prorate or refund for absences.  If a camper must miss a class, will arrive late, or needs to be picked up early, please e-mail the site director at to make arrangements.



Inclement Weather 

In the event it becomes necessary to close the camp due to inclement weather or other circumstances, we cannot guarantee the makeup of lost camp time. No refunds or credits will be issued in the event of a weather or other uncontrollable event or closure. Schedule changes due to inclement weather will be posted on  

FAME Center's website and communicated through email.



FAME Center Camp + COVID-19 Refund & Withdrawal Policy

  • Should FAME Center Camp have to cancel in person camp for summer 2021 due to COVID-19 prior to the start of the program, we will provide a full refund.

  • Should FAME Center Camp need to close or cancel due to COVID-19 during the camp session, we will prorate and refund the remaining tuition for the remaining days that a camper is enrolled.

  • No refunds will be issued for campers missing camp days due to positive Covid-19 testing or known exposure to Covid-19


Withdrawals from Camp Levine must be requested by completing the Camp Refund/Withdrawal Form by May 28, 2021.

  • If the camper withdraws prior to May 28, 2021, any tuition paid will be refunded, aside from a $50 administrative fee.

  • If a camper withdraws after May 28, 2021, the family is responsible for the full tuition. No refunds will be granted.

  • FAME Center Camp tuition cannot be prorated or refunded for camp absences
