Private Lessons

Weekly private lessons are offered for 30, 45 or 60 minutes and are hosted in-person at FAME Center. Instruction for some instruments available in Spanish!

Private lessons are offered for piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, drums, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and visual art.

Policies

New Students

FAME Center offers a free trial lesson for private lessons, for students of all ages, ability and means. All trial lesson are 30 minutes long.

SCHOLARSHIPS

If you’re new to FAME Center, follow these steps to start taking private lessons:

1. Submit the New Student Lesson Inquiry Form. You can begin this process at any time of year.   2. Our Student Services Associate will reach out to you to discuss your area of interest and availability and recommend a teacher who would be a good match. Feel free to peruse our Teaching Artist's Bios to learn more about them!  3. Have a trial lesson with your recommended teacher to make sure it's a great match. 4. Enroll! We’ll help you set up your FAME Center account and enroll in lessons for the session.

Thanks to the generosity of FAME Center partners, the financial-aid program ensures that anyone who demonstrates financial need can participate in our transformative arts programs.

Fall Session: August 26 -November 17, 2024

Winter Session: November 18, 2024 - February 23, 2025

Spring Session: February 24 - May 25, 2025

Summer Session: May 27 - August 17, 2025

Registration is ongoing. Tuition will be prorated for students who enroll after a session begins.
