What medical and emergency information do you need for my child?

During the registration process, you will be asked to provide an emergency contact, any known allergies, and any medications your child will need to bring to camp (i.e Epipens, etc.)

What is FAME Center doing to ensure health and safety needs are met?

Campers will be placed in pods of 10-12 campers. FAME Center will continue to follow the masking and safety guidance of the CDC, as well as City and State safety mandates.

Does my camper need to be vaccinated?

Currently all FAME Summer Camp faculty and staff are required to be vaccinated; we are not requiring students to be. We are however in support of vaccination for your camper. If you are still weighing the decision on whether or not to have your child vaccinated, and have questions, more information on youth vaccination can be found here: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid19-vaccine/home/for-youth.html

Do you administer first aid? How do you handle emergency situations?

FAME Center staff will administer first aid if needed. In the event of a medical emergency, the camper’s emergency contact will be immediately notified and 911 will be called.

What should my camper wear to camp?

Campers should wear clothing that allows them to be comfortable and physically active! Camp activities will take place both indoors and outdoors- we recommend bringing/wearing tennis shoes, weather appropriate outerwear and a sweatshirt or light overlayer to wear inside. Campers should bring an art smock or old t-shirt to wear during art activities to protect their clothes.

Pods will be determined based on age. We will do our best to honor friend requests, provided they are in the same age group. Friend requests can be made during the registration process.
